Welcome to My Modest Blog!

I've always been a crafty person. I love the visual arts and just like to create things. I tend to stare at each item in awe when it is complete... thinking "I made this!?" Call me a hopeless romantic, but the old days had it right in many ways, including traditional homemaking. I've been hobby sewing and crafting since I was a little girl. But in recent years, I found it necessary to sew clothes for my girls to keep them modestly dressed. While nursing my babies, I began making nursing covers for myself and friends. I've also done furniture restoration, crocheting, baking, painting/drawing, photography and more. Enjoying these feminine crafts and other projects has made me want to share my ideas and talents.

I hope to provide you with great ideas and quality products that will "keep you covered!" Some items will be available at an Etsy Shop. Also enjoy my tips and examples on this blog!

Giveaway: Girl's Dress Apron

Giveaway block
Enter below before Aug 31, 2012!

Dress Apron: Fits ages 7-12 years old.
Dress Apron
This apron is my sample/practice piece made to advertise one of my current sewing projects for sale. It's not the sewn perfection of those I will sell, but it is a very nice piece. I am sewing unique dress aprons for girls to wear over their first communion, flower girl or junior bridesmaid dresses before and after the ceremony. This is a perfect gift idea as they will use it often after the ceremony as they craft and bake.

The main purpose - keep those punch spills and frosted fingers off that expensive white dress!

Fabric is 100% Cotton in robins egg blue with pattern of children praying. Matching neck tie, and white sequined waist tie. Trimmed on top with a lovely white, cotton lace. Wash warm with like colors, tumble or hang dry. Iron as needed.

I would give this apron to my beautiful niece. She loves to cook and bake with her mama, and since I have a little gentleman and no little girls, she's the perfect person to share it with. :-)

Is it possible that the apron is too beautiful to cook in? ;-)
